As of November, 2024, Michi is now placed on the Directors Guild of America's Third Area Qualification List as a 1st Assistant Director. She is still non-union and has not joined the Directors Guild of America as a member; however, she is qualified to work on any DGA 3rd Area production as a 1st AD in any state outside of Southern California and New York. She is also qualified to work on DGA productions shooting in Southern California with shooting budgets of $3.5 million or below.
